Interested in joining any of the MYM music groups?

Rehearsals are held in Welshpool High School from 5:30pm on most Fridays during term time. 

You are welcome to try a few rehearsals without any obligation – though we strongly recommend that you carry on long enough to play in the end of term performance before deciding whether to stay with us.  Performing is very special.

– Next Steps (for players who have made a start – whatever their instrument)

We also endeavour to provide our players with the opportunity to perform as part of larger ensembles where we will combine each of our smaller ensembles to allow us to perform a greater variety of music.

There are a wealth of musical ensembles within Montgomeryshire and we aim to introduce our young players to work and perform with some of these as often as possible. We are collaborating with Ffonic to play at a forthcoming Ceilidh in Welshpool, and we look forward to further collaboration with Maldwyn Strings to extend the musical experiences of our players.
